Interns at NASA held an Inkscape activity with Zawadi Yetu Mogotio students. They started the class with explaining the journey to space followed by student drawing their own rockets. The student also asked very intriguing questions about space.

To me, the lack of strong institutions and infrastructure keeps rural Africans poor but digital infrastructure is the easiest one to build. And a future where rurals Africans could be making money online is what keeps me going.

TechLit Africa teaches digital skills in rural primary schools, because rural Africans lack opportunities to make a living, but digital skills unlock global opportunities. Our classes follow a curriculum designed to close the gap between the skills adults in rural Africa have, and the skills required to earn a living online.

We met our 2021 goal by the end of July. We reached thousands of kids in Kenya, and our team grew to 20 full-time educators. Now we're preparing for 2022.

Nelly is a Forbes 30 Under 30 Honoree now! In January this year, we were recognized by Forbes for our impact in Kenya.
